Recognition highlights Omnilert Gun Detect’s ability to help prevent active shooters in schools and save lives through early detection and rapid response
At Omnilert, our number one goal is to help save lives in the event an active shooter comes onto a school campus, hospital or any other facility. So it’s exciting when we get recognized by the industry because it means that more people learn about our life saving AI visual gun detection technology. That was the case yet again this month when we won not just one – but TWO – Gold Stevie Awards in the 2024 American Business Awards®. Our first award was recognized in the Administrative Solutions category based on Omnilert Gun Detect’s ability to help prevent active shooters at schools. Our second gold award was in the Emerging Technology category, highlighting how our technology is the most effective solution on the market for saving lives through early detection and rapid response.
The American Business Awards received more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry. More than 300 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. The awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 11.
The Leading AI Visual Gun Detection Solution on the Market
These two Stevie awards are just the latest in Omnilert’s portfolio of awards as we gain recognition around the industry for Omnilert Gun Detect’s unique combination of visual detection, mass communication and automated response. The company was recently the winner of a coveted 2024 GOVIES Government Security Awards from Security Today in the artificial intelligent category. Omnilert was also recognized as a Platinum winner in the Best Metal/Weapons Detection category of the 2023 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards from American Security Today (AST).
Omnilert Gun Detect is an AI-powered visual gun detection system that delivers reliable, 24/7 monitoring of gun threats using existing security cameras. Once a gun is detected, it sends an alert to Omnilert Monitoring or another designated person or team, and once a threat is confirmed, the system automatically initiates a full pre-planned response that could include dispatching police, locking doors, sounding alarms and sending alerts to those in harm's way. This solution gives emergency response teams advance warning before shots are fired and delivers precise information on the location of the shooter with a photo and short video. It also provides situational intelligence on the shooter throughout the event that can assist law enforcement and identify safe evacuation routes for those in the building.
