Omnilert, the leading provider of interactive mass communications and emergency notifications for mid-sized organizations, today announced over 100 new customers signing up with their Amerilert service in the past year. New customers include DuPont, Philips Medical Systems, and Wood-Mode, Inc. The company made the announcement during the 2013 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference and Expo in Chicago, June 16-19. Live demonstrations of Amerilert and other Omnilert services can be seen at booth #4331.
"Wood-Mode is a custom cabinetry and furniture maker with 1,000 employees," said Tom Morgensen, vice president human resources at Wood-Mode, Inc. "In the past, if we had plant closings or delays, we would rely on getting the message out by contacting the various radio stations and our 24-hour information phone line. That was probably fine in the old days, but it just didn’t keep up with our employees' needs today. Some people did not get our announcements, which created problems for us.
"Amerilert enables us to communicate with our employees in a more relevant way using cell phone text messaging, email, and voice messaging technologies. It allows us to more effectively contact our employees with specific information about their work schedule when the need arises as a result of various incidents that affect our operations.
“We chose Amerilert because the product works great, is easy to use, and the representatives we deal with are very thorough and informative. When our IT department said they were very comfortable with it, then that was a done deal.
"We have already used it once for a weather event and are confident that all employees have the ability to receive our messages in a timely manner due to the cooperation of our employees and Amerilert."
Omnilert CEO Ara Bagdasarian said, "Our continued customer acquisition and growth reflects our industry-leading reliability, performance and intuitiveness. Being able to instantly communicate critical information with your workforce has become the new standard in business operations. We make it possible to reliably reach that workforce via any device that exists today or in the future."
